    Imgluvscats

I was bought up with cats, bought up my children with cats, and my Grandbabies have cats. the kids destroy more furnature than the cats do!!! sure I have been scratched, so have my kids and grandkids but that just teaches them/me not to be too rough, squeeze or otherwise upset the furryones. Small children have to learn about animals and if all they know are clawless ones.... God forbid they ever pick up a stray or ferral cat!
I am sure you really love tour kitties, I guess you wouldn't have them around if you didn't. Couldn't you just train your cats not to scratch the furnature and your children not to mis-handle rhe cats?

Of course you can train cats not to scratch the furniture....but make sure you start when they are young...they learn quicker.
As for kids...well...they learn even quicker then adults do...so of course you can!
