I have a live whoopie cushion

...and her name is Brynja. She's so greedy when it comes to food, she just gulps it down and swallows a lot of air.

It's really, REALLY bad and her farts stink up the whole place, lol...but what's worse is she seems to get little tummy aches. Talked it over with the vet and there doesn't really seem anything I can do about it...other than hope she outgrows this (she's only 5 mths. old) behavior.

Actually, that little lady is not at all lady-like. She snores, burps and farts constantly

Sorry to hear little Brynja has some unladylike manners. Hopefully it will pass - pardon the pun.

I have heard that with dogs with this problem, some people put a hard plastic ball, fairly large, in with their dry food so the dog has to eat around it, and therefore eats more slowly. Maybe that would work for your stinky girl!

    She's so darn cute!

Oh, poor Brynja -- and poor YOU! My sister's cat (Seymour) suffered from a similar problem. That boy could make your eyes water! My sister noticed that it was especially bad after any kind of fish. When she stopped feeding him seafood, it almost stopped completely. Seymour's vet also suggested trying CurTail. http://www.akpharma.com/curtail/ A few drops of these natural enzymes on Seymour's crunchies really did help until she figured our that seafood was the problem.

Good luck with your little "stinker".
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

Kim, I feed her (and the other 4) Hill's.

They get to share a can of tuna once a week, but perhaps I should hold back on the shrimp.
I usually let them have all the shrimp they can eat 3-4 times a week...because of Beans (my princess with the heart condition. She loooooves shrimp and I can't spoil her and not the others).

    Ah, the memories!
When Luke first moved in with me I almost named him Odie, short for odiferious because he had the same problem. I could hardly stay in the same room with him. He was about the same age too. After several months of good regular food he out grew his problems. Well, more or less. He still sometimes lets loose but now he pretends it's one of his brothers, not him!

I hope your sweetie out grows this too! Good luck!

That happened with my BooBoo so many times in this past 16 years I've had him. When he does this,I feed a tiny bit at a time. And just keep giving him another spoonful after he's done.It really slows them down. They hate it but it may help him to slow down later. He also farted all the time and always sliding his bum across the carpet.Yukk!!!

Like I said before, I would have her stool checked for e.coli. It's been the same with Luna when she was a kitten, but after a treatment, the problem has totally disappeared.

And I agree - Brynja is too cute!
