Do yoy know what is a "Puppy-Mills"?

This is something that I whant share with you! Think twice before buying a puppy at a Pet Shop...

Puppy Mills...Illegal Catteries...Back Yard Breeders....they all have something in common. They are breeding unhealthy, uncertified, poorly kept animals who want nothing more out of life than to be loved. Many live in cramped cages, with little attention, no socializing, and at times go without food and/or water, not to mention the health care they are not receiving. All back yard breeders, etc., are not necessarily dirty with cramped cages. Some have fairly decent surroundings, some are quite immaculate, but the end result is the same. Corners are cut, puppies are not socialized, the parents are not screened properly, and the bottom line is they are in it for the profit they make from these animals. ... WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT PUPPYMILLS & KITTYMILLS?

The single most important thing that each of us can do
is to EDUCATE the public. Until the public is aware of the fact that most puppies and kittens come from these horrible mills, the pet stores will continue to sell these animals. Backyard breeders will continue to breed less than desirable pups and kittens. ... (What can you do?)

it's a sad sight isn't it. i've seen these pics before. they break my heart everytime i see them. i rescued a yorkie from a puppy mill and ashe had never been outside (she was terrified of grass),could never be housebroken, had an enlarged heart, had no teeth, didn't know how to play, etc.

fortinatly we got her out of there and in just a few weeks she was running and playing. she wasn't scared of grass anylonger, although she was never housebroken.

she lives with my bestfriend and her three dachshunds. she lives the best life she's ever had and will live there forever!

I've known what a puppy mill is for a while, thus why I'll never buy a dog...always adopt.

Please, you may want to put a warning in your original post. Those pictures are really graphic.

friend of our just did a rescue, of over 8,000 dollars worth of dogs, mostly golden retrievers , from a puppy mill in GA. he possed as a "buyer". he knew if they found out he was rescue, they would play on his heart for more money.

many of the animals are being transported to new homes already. infact, i was a leg for four goldens weekend before last going to NJ from LA (where the dogs are now). all the money came from donations from rescue organizations all over the US.

    millers make me sick.

this one announced he was going to shoot the dogs that didnt get bought.........

UGH! Is this a new puppy miller tactic now? There's a girl on another forum who "saved" a Labrador RetrieverxPoodle from its breeder because its breeder (and I use this term lightly) was threatening to shoot it. People are so gullible!

Im happy that we dont have puppy mills and other things like that here in Sweden. Just pets like rabbits, guineapigs, parrots and smaller pets can be sold in a petshop.

Here in the UK they are called Puppy Farms. There was an investigation a few years ago which highlighted inbred diseases, false vcaccination history and squalid conditions.

Unfortunately people buy from these puppy farms as they purchase a puppy at a cheaper price than normal and often do not report the conditions that the puppies were raised in. And they then wonder why the puppy isn't 100% fit!

Some people will do anything for money!!
