    Getting my tooth pulled ::Scared::

    I'm so worried/scared right now I'm having my tooth pulled, I dont' want it pulled, I like my tooth, it's a nice tooth, never did anything to deserve this

    My orthodontast (SP) wants to remove it and then move all my teeth over so they are centered seems pretty drastic to me!!! I dont' want it done! NOT AT ALL!

    I've heard it doesn't hurt, and I get to miss school on wed. I guess thats good I'm still scared though......

    o i just got braces on and i have to get a tooth removed b/c there isnt enought room in my mouth for all my teeth to grow.dont be worried!!! They just freeze your gums then they just pull.i think.It wont hurt trust me..but when they put the needle( to freeze your mouth with) it does hurt me,but not for very long,then your mouth will be numb for like 3 hours. lol.but it wont hurt.i've had it down before.

    dont worry!!

    Ohh, I was in your same position about a year ago. I needed braces, and I needed a couple teeth pulled. I was really nervous because I had to get two teeth pulled, but it didn't hurt at ALL! It just feels like someone's pulling on your tooth! They give you a shot in your gum to numb it so you don't feel anything, and from then on it's smooth sailing. For me, it took approximately ten minutes to pull out both of them.

    You'll be fine, Ash, trust me.

    Ash, I had 4 teeth pulled to have braces! It's not a big deal at all, trust me. Wacking my shin on the desk hurt way more than getting the teeth pulled, and just think - you get ice cream afterwards, right?

    And yes, three years later, I had my four wisdom teeth pulled, too. That was a bigger deal, but the tooth that's just sitting there out in the open is a sinch!

    It'll be a piece of cake, Ash. They'll numb it for you and it only takes a few minutes after that. You'll be amazed at how easy it is.

    I had 4 pulled out for braces. It's really not that bad. I actually don't remember any pain aside from when they froze my gums (and even then, it only lasted a second). Don't worry!

    I had two teeth pulled to make my teeth straight.

    I was really scared, too! But now I have straight teeth, and get compliments on them all of the time.

    I took a stuffed animal, and I would STILL take one to this day.

    Trust me, your smile will thank you.

    I had to have 7 teeth pulled plus my 12 yr. molars removed before I could have braces. The orthodontist said it was either that or have my jaw broken and reset. O_o

    Hope all goes well! *hugs*
