Nail Care...

quick question about nail care, Max will NOT let me trim his nails. I've tried and to no avail. He bit me once while trying and it wasn't fun, it hurt like hell. If I take them to a groomer, do they have a trick? Or should I take him to the vet. He;s also been licking his one back paw a lot lately. And you can hear him bite on his nail. I looked at it and it's a little red, but nothing to bad.

A trip to the vet can take care of both problems,,,,,, thats my advice.... they know how to do it properly and perhaps,, you can learn how too,,, without being bitten!!!!

Take him to a vet or groomer. My dog pulls his paw back a little when trimming his nails, but he'll let us do it. Our neighbours across the street- the lasdy is a dog groomer, and she has lots of dog bites and scratches, it might be natural. Good luck! Keep us posted.

I agree, Might as well take him to the vet for trimming than
his nail can be looked at too.
