Papanack Animal Park Zoo. MILLIONS of pics :)

Before u say anything bad about this zoo, please understand WHY it is here.

Most of these animals were at a zoo in Sudbury. The SPCA closed them down for animal curlity & neglect. Papanack was origional just breeding a few exotics (for good purposes, NOT as pets) & took all these poor animals in.

They are still working on making the homes for the animals larger & larger & better & better. But thay r only 1 family doing their best for these rescued animals.

Some of the animals r horribly SCREWED UP (mentaly) from their old homes. Several keep pacing back & forth ALL day long, esp. the timber wolf. Rob & I felt so bad for the poor guy, but we knew that papanack did the right thing on taking him in, poor guy.

ok well I took 141 pics & lost 2 some how They were of the HUGE White Swans Walking.

OK so on with the pics !!

This is Neptune. He is a 300 pound 2 year old Male. The trainer put some meat on the fence so he would charge the fence & jump up 12 feet (its 12 feet with his head) to get the meat. She said it was an important excersize to help develop his dexterity (which he was poor in), he missed the meat alot of the time.

There was about 10 Ring Tailed Leamers & a couple of bunnies on the island. The island is far so I'll show some thumbnails of closeups of the cute little guys.

Ducks & swans lived in the moate (sp) that surounded Leamer Island.

The red foxes pen was in a barn type thing & far from the fence line so he came out very blury, but u can still tell he was cute.

This is a female wolf pup. When she gets older & the other 2 timber wolfe adults accept her the 2 pens will be open up to eachother. But until then she is safe in her pen alone.

This timber wolf BUILT that trench. He keeps going back & forth all day long. Poor guy. Atleast hes being taken care of now & is in a home that loves him.

    heheh a Striped Skunk

Wild Turkeys (just a breed of Turkey)

The 2 Racoons were so cute. They were begging the little girl to toss them more popcorn down the food pipe.

    2 Brown Bears

A Phesant, his mate was at the back & none of the photos of her turned out.

I just fell in LOVE with the male. I squated down to get better pics of them & he kept coming up in front of me & looked right at me (while pacing, but not nearly as bad as that timber wolf)

This wolf was so pretty & matter too

All I can say is AWWWWWWWWWWWW look how cute he is. There were 2 Arctic Foxes & both Rob & I couldn't stop AWWWing them.

This is the best pics of the snow leapards I could get. They were both sleeping in their tree house

All Tom Bee-iched about was wanting to see a Lauma. SO I found him is Lauma hehehehe.

The baby donkey desided to lay in the cool mud for a nap. There was so much grass for him to lay on & a hut, but he chose the mud puddle hehe.

A lady called the pig away from rooling in her mud pouddle to feed her some carrots. She what a happy piggy she is. & I couldn't help put pet her too.

The goats were crazy. They were bouncing around, trying to attract attention to themselves to people would feed them carrots. But I found this one standing still so I quickly took his pic.

A cute little Praire Dog. I think he was alone, didn't see anyothers.

The bunny pen. One of the holes had a sign saying "this way to India" heheheh But I forgot to get a pic of that

This monkey was all hyped up, cause he was just fed & his trainer was walking away & he wanted more heheh

The trainer feeding the Black & White Leamers, oranges.

This lion finally came up to one of the closer bences so I took more pics of him.

This lioness was in a diff cage away from the pride, not sure why. But do u see that log beside her? Its not a log its a leg bone of an animal. & in her doorway is a skull & in her hutch was loads of bones.

White Tigers (they were both diff breeds but I forget them)

Some pics of Neptune. He is white with stripes.

Some pics of Venus. She is white with no stripes

Even MORE pics of Venus. I love these shots of her rolling over

I wish this one turned out better, she finally opened her eyes from sleeping & looked at me. Her eyes were a stunning baby blue. They reminded me of Nebo's eyes.

SHe closed here eyes again to nap before he 10 pound snack!!

More pics of Neptune. What a lazy kitty

Not sure if I should tell the story of this Baboon, but I'm gonna anyway. Ok here it goes. This mother was telling her kid to mimic his voice. SO duh, the 3 year old did so (this was against the rules, I tried to say this loud enough to get the mother to stop this, but she ignored me). Well I guess this sound the Baboon was making was a matting call, can u tell where this is going yet?? Well lets just say the baboon got ummm errr, excited in his pants. SO I WILL not show a close up of him. I think all will agree with that. But he was a very pretty baboon, nice long fur.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
