    Picture posting question

    Well, I tried again to post pics of the girls. This time I was "told" that after posting 13, pics, I was over my limit. And no, they're not oversized. I did a search and found many threads with 30, 40, 50 and even one with96 pics and all were posted. Is this something new??? A limit in # that is, and if so, how many. Thanks..."frustrated!"

    I *think* it's 8 (per reply/post) but I'm not sure. I saw someone had posted 10 in one reply and when I tried, it only allowed 8.

    You went "Over the Limit" for number of pictures
    on ONE *POST*

    You should only put 3, 4 or maybe 5 individual pictures on one *POST* ~

    Then "post" that group;
    and start another *POST* - on the Same Thread
    to put up the next group of photos.

    We'll wait...

    I usually don't put more than seven pics in one post. You can do many posts, though. Just use the reply button to keep on posting. We'll look forward to seeing them eventually. See, you should have been doing it all along and then you'd know

    I know you can do 8 for sure. It seems I've been allowed to do more on and off, but I'm not sure how.

    It just depends on the compression you use for your pictures. I think there is a mb. size limit per post, but I'm not sure what it is .... I've never exceeded it. I use IrfanView (FREE) to resize my pics.

    Sandra, others have already explained it but I'd just thought I'd add what I do too. Usually I make my post, put in about 6 to 8 pictures, hit post, then hit reply to my own thread and add more. That's how I get more than 8 or 9 pictures into my threads . Don't worry though Sandra, you're doing great! Practice makes perfect!!

    I've had that problem too, and found out that the number of smilies seems to limit the number of pictures possible.
    Were there a lot of smilies in your post too? Removing them may help.

    I always post 12 pictures per post. 12 images is the limit, and that includes smilies, so unless I'm adding any smilies in the post, I post 12. The size of the picture doesn't matter. 12 images are allowed in one post. I've learned that from experiencing the loss of posts several times.

    What I usually do is type out the whole post, and then *cut* the part after 12 pics. Then I paste the rest of the post in a reply, etc.

    Thanks PCB I've always known how to post pictures. But haven't posted many/multiple pics since we've all gone pic posting crazy, so wasn't sure of the etiquette Thanks for all the suggestions/advice!
