Where do your cats like to hide?

I know that lots of cats have favorite places to hide.

Samantha loves to hide on a shelf in the basement when the vacuum monster comes out upstairs or if the kids get too noisy or if we have company.

Here she is so happy she is making bread.

We put the old rug from the bathroom on her shelf so it would be more comfy.

One more photo of Samantha in her hidey-hole.

Does anyone else have photos of their cats hiding?
    If so please post them!
    RIP sweet Samantha

I wish I had a picture...hopefully I took one on the roll going in for processing today!

Remus LOVES to hide in the bathtub or under *yes under* the bathroom rug *especially if someone's shower has interrupted his slumber*. It is so cute when he does that! If he isnt hiding under the rug, he is trying to beat it up

This isn't about hiding -it is about Samantha Does anyone else get the urge to reach in and hug her?? She looks like a plush toy and I ALWAYS want to cuddle her!

Oh yes, Tito likes to hide in the entertainment center:

    And under the dresser:

And Sophie likes to hide in the dryer!!

Not exactly safe! In fact, I found her sleeping in there last night after I finished drying a load! Guess it's a good thing I know now to check the dryer before I turn it on!

Chuck likes to hide under the table on the chairs. With the table cloth on there, he is totally hidden. Well, except you can hear him snoring under there from the next room! LOL

    Hiding places.....

Tigger likes to hide under the covers in the winter. Sha also like to hide in my cross stitching basket, she can open the lid herself and jump right in.

Smokey, Tucker and Mystic don't tend to hide per say....they just tend to pick places to go where they blend right in... like for Mystic a black blanket......there have been way to many times to count where something has almost been placed on top of her.

Tucker who tends to stay out in the summer loves to blend or hide in the grass where it is nice and cool on a summer day.

Abner's favorite place is under any blanket....

Yes he IS in this photo!!!!

Consider adopting a special needs pet, they deserve a chance too!

Here's one spot I caught Peanut hiding once.

But this is her all time favorite hiding spot. Really! Anything upsetting happens (vacuum, doorbell, etc) she immediately runs to her house. If the disturbance gets too close to the house (vacuum) she resorts to running to the basement, but usually her house provides enough safety for her.

Seen here with her friend Mr. Smiley.

    Here's Tubby's favorite hide out.

    Seriously, Tubby hides from nothing.

Jazz and Scout will hide in the chairs under the dining table when I vacuum. Ripley hides under our bed, behind the guest bed or behind the recliner when the vacuum is on, the doorbell rings, it storms, we watch a movie loudly - basically he is a big ole chicken!

Samantha, I wish I could see you making bread in person!

No pictures unfortunately but Wilber's favorite spot is under the bed. He tore a hole in the boxspring!! to get inside the bed, but we blocked it. I don't want him getting splinters . Oreo climbs on top of the freezer to hide.

Edit: The vacuum monster is what causes the hiding. I've started making Mike take them upstairs and close the bedroom door behind him to comfort them while I do the downstairs, and then we switch. lol. Spoiled guys!! The other hide factor is created by visitors. I'm tempted to be a hermit with them cause it breaks my heart to watch Wilber practically run into walls trying to hide while the 'big, mean' strangers come in the house. Alth-ough if they stay long enough, 2+ hours they come out eventually, so maybe they key is having more people over longer?!

Bastet hides under the bed or in the cupboards at the vacuum cleaner monster. She would prefer to hide on my lap though I am sure

My kitties like to hide.... Well, sometimes I'm not really sure. Sometimes they just disappear off the face of the planet. You can check the favorite hiding places and they aren't there: spare bathroom shower, spare bathroom between the curtain and the tub, under the blankies of the bed... Then you'll walk out from looking and they'll be in the middle of the floor, like there were always there. Can cats turn invisible?
