Max, the puppy who spent 15 months in death row

    http://www.ctnow.com/news/local/nort...ines-northeast

The above link is for the story that appeared today in the Hartford Courant, Northeast Magazine. Some of you are already familiar with the Golden puppy Max who spent 15 months "in jail" due to the ignorance and arrogance of an Animal Control Officer. We, in Connecticut, not only had a Governor who had to resign last week because of corruption in his administration, we also have a system of hiring ACO who have absolutely no training or understanding of animals.
Fortunately, Max is home now with his loving family, celebrating the 4th of July with the freedom he deserves.

P.S.: Sorry, Max spent 8 months on death row, not 15. He's 15 months old now

Could you 'copy' and 'paste' the story into a PT post? They* won't let us read the article unless we register, and that will probably mean more spam, unfortunately.

    Thanks, Dot

    * Edit: The magazine, I mean, not Pet Talk.

I had to "register" to the read the story, but it is free to do so, just so others know.

It is so sad that so much of it appears to be misunderstandings and miscommunication. I am glad it all turned out okay, but what an ordeal for both the family, the dog, and the others involved!

Karen, isn't the story too long to post here? I wouldn't mind doing it if you say it's alright.

    Hi, Karen,

I realized that the mag's registration was free; I was only trying to avoid giving out my email address to an unfamiliar website. That's OK, though, because I found it at another site that didn't require registration, and it had a video as well. :-)

I'm so glad the story had a happy ending and Max is finally home; his family obviously loves him very much!

Thanks, Albea, for telling us about it!

    Dear Christrev:

I'll be happy to do so, but I'll have to look through "History" on my 'puter to find it, and we're just getting ready leave the house to go to our son's for dinner.

I promise to post it soon. :-)

    Hi:

As promised, here are links to many of the sites I came across when I Googled for Max, the death row dog. I wasn't able to reconstruct yesterday's search due my anti-virus having disabled "History" on my computer, so I haven't found the video of the Pyon family in court signing the papers for Max's release. The other sites, though, provide good pictures of Max and his family. He looks like such a nice dog!

    Thanks

Dot, thanks very much for the trouble you have taken in finding out those sites, I have now lread the story of Max & feel so sorry for what that family & their dog had to go through, just because of an accident and a misunderstanding of the Korean language.

I real glad he is home where he belongs, again thanks very much Dot, you're a star
