Find out what your dog barks at. For Kai, he barked everytime I sneezed. So I started "sneezing" and adding a hand signal. Then I started saying "snee-BARK!" and eventually just said "bark!"

depends what you mean by "talk" do you mean what I am teaching happy? like actually pronouncing the words in there bark? as in - no = Roh! - or do you mean speak, like just bark?

to teach them to actually prnouce the words in there bark the dog must be smart enugh to figur out how to repeat the sound you make..

I taught Simba and Nala by barking at them.

I can sound pretty much like a dog so I'd bark, and then say SPEAK!
    They caught on very quickly.

For me, I did the practically the same thing as binka_nugget.

Prince is the only one that speaks on command, but I am working on it with the others. They aren't much barkers, as Prince is.

My command is "Say Hi." Whenever Prince would bark, I would say, "Good boy, say hi!" Now he "says hi" on command!
