    What Kind do I have?

Sorry to go off your subject. But does anyone know how to tell what kind of cat you have? I'm not sure. I guess it's a domestic shorthair. The mamma was an outdoor cat and must have found a stray mate. Someone told me my cat looked similar to a siamese. He is all black. But his hairs start off gray close to his body then turn black. his underbelly is dark brownish.

    here's zezu(zee-zoo)

Oh yeah, and he hates being picked up by strangers and always hisses at them. He's really a sweetheart, he just gets afraid around people and needs his space.

any info or informative websites you could give would be helpful.

    thanks,
    Ben

sorry for posting this in two differnet message groups. Not sure if everyone reads all of them

Ben, you have an alley cat a mutt a mongrel a plain ol' black cat ! No, really, he is a black domestic shorthair! Does that sound sophisticated enough?

BTW, did he finish that banana?

Spencer, AJ is just a beautiful guy! I have a soft spot in my heart for black and whites and I am glad you adopted him! His head shape also suggests Siamese!

What about Chartreux? From France. Edwina likes to think her unbelievably soft and dense fur and gray color are inherited from a long lost French ancestor.

    Norweigan Forest Cat: Norway

The cat lying down has Maine Coon: big broad ears, fair amount of fur. Unlike a Persian, the fur is uneven length (chest and esp the striped tail). It looks more like a large domestic cat in build than a stout, cobby Persian. Is playful & soft-spoken, gets along very well. Norwegian Forest cats look very similar and some suspect common ancestery. More at http://www.fanciers.com/breed-faqs/maine-coon-faq.html .</STRONG>
Hey can you tell me a little more about maincoon cats? Do you know any one who has siamese cats? I have a Lilac point,(MayoPop)-seal point(Kwame)- calico(pepperann)-silver mackerel shorthair(neuman)
