Saffron I have seen your relatives in Malaysia gliding from tree to tree -but not so close. You are incredibly cute and very special

It looks as if your humans take good care of you - I am sure that's not so easy.

I have no idea whether you like belly rubs but if you do I'll send you one

Saffron, not only are you stunning, but your human has given us some great information about the needs of Sugar Gliders. Obviously, pets like you are not for everyone, but you certainly seem to have found the perfect home!!!

Congratulations to you, Saffron, on being our very special Pet of the Day!!!

Oh, what a picture! Saffron, you've left me speechless! What a precious little creature you are; simply fascinating! You have the most adorable masked face and just look at those sweet paws! At first I though you were a baby coon in a bat cape! I'm so happy to know that you are in the loving care of a responsible, knowledgeable human who understands your very special needs, Saffron! What a delight you must be! Congratulations to you precious Saffron! I hope you and your proud person have a very happy day celebrating your Pet of the Day honors! Maybe today you'll get treated to one of your favorite sweet treats...though I think you're plenty sweet just the way you are! And if you like hugs and cuddles, please ask your Mom to give you an extra special one from me! Long and happy life to you dear Saffron!

Wow, You are such a beauty. and at the sametime you completely freak me out. I don't mean that to hurt your feelings but it's taking me a while to get used to you being a house pet.

I remember seeing some of your relatives hanging upside down off of big trees in Australia when I visited. They were all sleeping at the time and I thought were also black.

You are special, there's no denying that. I wonder what happens when your owner doesn't tell people about you and they come to visit. That must amuse you to no end.

Oh Saffron, you are so cute! Your little face is adorable. You look like you are wearing oversized footie pajamas. I'd love to see you gliding around the house on autopilot. Your owner takes very good care of you with special meals and especially your very own "cave." You are a cutie POTD!

Awesome! Absolutely awesome and what a cutie-pie you are.

lots of kisses and if we're allowed, lots of belly rubs too. We loved learning all about Sugar gliders in your bio. KatMa is going to "Google" search to learn more.

To let others know, they are not related to bats. They are small gliding possums.

Saffron, I think you are absolutely spectacular! What a beauty you are, and sounds like momma has you on the right diet. (way to go mom!)

Thank you for explaining that they are from the possum family. I'm still trying to picture having one flying around my house and it's just surreal. But don't get me wrong. that is a beautiful creature!

They don't fly, they glide. Most gliders in captivity unless taught from a young age don't do well at gliding either.
