Well...we got her. Zoey is now a happy member of our family.

We brought Moosey with us to the shelter today to meet her and see how they got along. Wow, Moose loved her. They are both are so energetic and happy...it's no wonder. She was a little unsure at first, but Moose was more than happy to meet her lol. They brought her out and his tail started wagging immediately.

She took a little while to warm up to him, but within a few minutes her whole body was wiggling and jumping around. They are so cute together, lol.

Anyway, she already seems to be settling in pretty well...she made her way up onto our bed already, lol. Moosey must have taught her that. She's still extremely outgoing even at the house...which I definitely didn't expect her to be.

She did have an accident in the house already...but what can you expect?...the poor girl has been in a kennel for most of her life

We're so happy with her. She and Moose have been running around and playing since we brought her home this afternoon. I think they are both zonked...lol. Moose is lying on the couch with Josh, and Zoey is curled up on the bed with me.

Ahhh, I'm so happy! lol.

...and before you even ask about pictures, yes...they are coming. I took some with a regular camera and am planning on bringing her to my parents' house with me in a few weeks so I will get them scanned and take more with my mom's digital camera. Jeez, I really need to stop being cheap and just buy one...

Oh, color me jealous! I can't wait to see pics and I'm so glad she and Moose are buddies already. That's the one thing I'd really be worrying about. How far are you from me? I might have to drive up and take pics for everyone so we can get our fix right away I'm so happy for you all.

I'm in central Florida. It would still be a long drive because Palm Harbor is about 1 1/2 hrs from me. I'd be willing to do it! Duke would love the Keys as he's allowed almost anywhere. How much longer you going to be down there? I really need at least 2 more weeks so my next paycheck kicks in. Two weeks is when my next 3 day weekend is here. I can come on a weekday, too. I think it would be great fun!

Well...she's black and tan, a year old, natural ears...I don't know how to describe her. lol

I was looking through Pet Finder to find a picture or two to give you an idea, and this handsome guy is practically identical to her.

...although, most Dobermans look pretty identical lol.
