    Mean old birds:)

I took this picture a couple of days ago, can't you just hear that pigeon taunting Boomer those pigeons are mean nasty little rascals. The whole time that bird sat there Boomer did his little cackle thing when he just quivers his bottom jaw a little to make a funny sound

Juni does the same - she can sit on the window sill for hours and watch them, and if the window's open she chirps and chirps

    Chester does that too!

In the summer and spring, he will sit for hours and chirp at the birds and squirrels and his whole body would quivver when he does it. I could pick him up and walk to the door and whisper "Are there any birds and squirrels out there?" and he would do it. One day, I swear him and a squirrle carried on a conversation. One would chirp, the other would chirp back and that went of for a good 15 minutes. He was the first cat I saw do that.

Tigger, Smokey, Mystic and Abner all do the same thing. I made a bird garden in the front yard, it is about 50 feet away from the house so it does provide hours of entertainment while I'm at work for the babies. In the winter the birds like to fly into the shrubs in front of the dining room and living room windows. My babies can carry on a conversation about the birds in the shrubs for about an hour.

Poor Boomer, that mean bird just sitting there. I know you are trying to get him.

I love that sound they make too. My RB flicka used to do that all the time. Bob and Joey don't, at least tha tI have heard.

Joey will watch the outside animals all the time. We call it watching kitty TV. We have a big picture window and when she is there she is watch TV on the BIG screen.

I liked the picture of Edwina and Shirley. I really got a kick out of the fact that you named the squirrel too.
    Bob & Joey,
and their happy and willing slave, Bryan.

Many Thanks to Kay for the Picture.

    LOL!

Wow, you've got a great view!

As for the the cackling sound, my Mum's cats make it. Randi watches the birds outside every day as they squawk in the palm trees. Today, Pixel joined him and it was priceless - their body languages mirroring each other exactly.

Mum to two little humans, a very vocal 14 year old Ragdoll, and a super energetic and snuggly rescue kitten.

That sound is the funniest!!! I do not ever recall hearing it before my twins, but they do it for birds AND bugs. That lower jaw quivers and that funny "cackle" comes out. YES, it looks like that bird LIVES to torment poor Boomer!!
