Bandit will stay home and mind the fire while the rest go outside.

LOL, Nebo sure knows the rough life too...he's currently sleeping on my bed.. I think he's jealous that they get to be sled dogs too though, he'd enjoy that!

I think Bandit is lighter colored than Tikeya--if I remember correctly. He looks dark in that pic, but he's actually grey and white. But their markings are shaped similarly.

Unless Tikeya came from a breeder in California, they aren't likely related. One of Bandit's previous owners-not really sure which one, mailed his AKC papers to us just after we took him. So I actually know a little about his lineage.

This past Christmas my husband played Santa at a community Christmas party. Santa in the Yukon drives a dog team, not reindeer! So he arrived on behind a four dog team. After he handed out presents, he gave the kids a short ride on the sled--just around a horse corral. Heyoka was one of the dogs in the team. Our neighbor's little girl still talks about "the wolves" who took her for a sled ride! She's only three and still hasn't connected that the wolves are the same dogs she comes to visit!
