Oh my, Tommy is a vampire dog!

Ok, I'm spending entirely too much time playing with the dogs instead of working. One of the only downfalls to working from home .

So, I got caught this picture of him in vampire form!

Of course after that I wouldn't be happy with just one picture.

This one really shows off his lovely coat.

And couldn't leave out the Tasha baby

You are very lucky to work at home. I would love that. Either that or bring dog to work. That pic is funny and I just love Tasha.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

You know, wanting to be with my dogs every day is probably one of the biggest reasons that I took the leap about three years ago, quit my job, and went into debt to get training in medical transcription. It wasn't the only reason, I also was very unhappy at my job then and desperately wanting to do something else, but I am happiest with the dogs and it was a big factor in my decision in what profession to look into. After about a year of endless studying of medical terminology and the proper format of various medical reports, etc., I began the task of looking for a place that would contract me to work for them from home, but everywhere I looked they wanted people to have years of experience working in the field before they would hire.

Then I had finally given up and was desperately looking for part-time work out of the home because we had gotten so poor on only one income that we were both going hungry a lot trying to pay the bills. It was truly some hard times and the job market was terrible. One day I just happened to hear a casual aquaintance talking about this company she just signed on with that were looking for MTs and were desperate for people. I asked her for the e-mail address and sent off my resume and letter with my fingers crossed, and low and behold they called me and were willing to give me a shot. I've been with them a year now and am thankful every day that I made it and attained my dream.

So that is that little tale

K9soul, we have something in common (other than our love for pets! ) I do medical transcription for an ophthalmologist! I am part time and do all of his office dictation. The hospital does his surgical notes. I just love it, although I do have to commute, but since his is a solo practice it's not that many hours a week. By the way, Tommy is adorable. I think I have one of Ripley the Vampire if I can find it. hehe!

    Here he is!
I vant to bite my greenie! LOL!

LOL cute "vampire dog" pics Pam and tomkatzid.

Pam I agree it is enjoyable work. I do mostly family practice type reports and some pediatric doctor reports. You hear the craziest things sometimes, and sometimes really sad things.

One of the most unusual was a 20-year-old who got stung on her foot by her pet scorpion.. get this.. she let the scorpion run the house, then walked around barefoot. The scorpion was 6 inches long.

Apparently after the stinging she decided to keep him in his enclosure.

I would love to work at home, and my dogs would love it too.

I even joke about it at work in a semi serious way.
    Great vampire pics everyone.

Yes I have typed some very upsetting reports myself, one involving a woman putting her nail glue in her eye, thinking it was eye drops. Then just yesterday we got a phone call from someone who woke up with a tick embedded in her lash area. Thankfully there are no scorpions in these parts!
