I've had my dog for 12 years. He's a Toy and is smaller than a loaf of bread. One morning, as I was just opening my eyes, I saw him walking on the edge of the bed towards me. "How cute" I thought, "He's coming up to say good morning". Then, just as he got near my face, he turned to the left, and put both paws on the nightstand. He then proceded to take a big drink from the water glass that I've been putting there for 12 years. This was obviously not the first time. Eww. He licked his chops, turned around, walked back to the foot of the bed, and went back to sleep.
I now use a water bottle.
