Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I told my friend about the imom deal, but I think she feels pretty overwhelmed by the whole thing, and would just rather get Sam (beagle pup) into rescue...she's also afraid he won't get better, and doesn't feel equipped to deal with that. She rescued a poodle a couple years ago, only to see him succumb to cancer a year later, and he had to be put to sleep. I think from now on she just wants to deal with the dog she's had for years. Should I have her try to contact the Nittany rescue as well? I really appreciate all you guys are doing.

I haven't heard back from them yet, and am on my way out the door. Tell your friend to try and contact them as well.

Unfortunately the little guy would rather be with her I'm sure and is counting on her. Being placed is going to be extremely stressful on the poor thing and may send him into a tailspin and he may NOT recover then. I'm being pretty harsh, but, I think she needs to put her feelings aside right now. Trust me, Mike and I had to do that this summer and it was the most painful thing we've ever done. I wish him luck where ever he lands.
