    Oh sweet sweet Nala! What a wonderful surprise for your Mom (and me too) to see your happy wiggling self as DOTD today!! I have enjoyed seeing you grow up right here on PT so much, and want to take this opportunity to tell your Mom how much I love each and every one of her photos, and enjoy all her posts on you and your brother Simba. I know how much she loves you both, and how very very proud she will be of you today (and deservedly so!). Congratulations beautiful Nala. I hope you receive even MORE cuddles, treats, and toys today and enjoy your special moment as the first ever DOTD for October 31st 2003! All my love to you sweet girl, and congratulations Kay! Maybe we can even have some new pictures to celebrate?

    Oh my, what a better way to make this Halloween special than to have one of our own as the honoree today. And no better selection than the adorably dressed and superbly photographed Nala.

    Nala, I am so happy to see you as our Dog of the Day. I remember how your mom and her family searched and searched (for years) to find the most perfect new sibling for Simba. And then came the day when you became part of the family and correspondingly part of the PT family. We truly have watched you grow up and enjoyed your antics and relished the relationship you have developed with your mom and brother, Simba.

    So today we celebrate with extreme pride and excitement your special status as Dog of the Day. Congratulations, dear Nala.
