Miss Kate update

Well - everything's better on the homefront. Miss Kate is obeying the house rules quite nicely, and boy is she affectionate!

I worked last night (night shift) and my husband put her in her crate for the night, like the vet advised. At first she didn't like it, but then he put Max in his crate (Max doesn't usually sleep in his crate) and put her crate next to Max's. She was fine after that, and now she and Max are all lovey dovey. As soon as Bob opened the crate doors, she went in Max's crate and he tried to go in hers. Of course he didn't fit.

I got my husband a book on cat care and he's reading it cover to cover.

So - the next big event in our furbabies' lives will be getting Kate spayed next week.

I couldnt' get any of Kate and Max together - they were wrestling around too fast and Max just stayed in the way.

I'm so glad Kate is well!! Those pictures of her are so adorable!!! I love the inside out ears!! She looks like a handfull! A handfull of fun, love, and all out cuetness!!

I wish I had been able to catch her in mid-air attacking the bed lump monster. I tried! It's so cute - Toby will lay there really still and then he'll just wiggle a little bit to get her to attack him, then they wrestle through the sheets.

Last night we caught her scratching on the sofa like it was a litter box - looked like she was getting ready to use it. So we brought her to her litter box and she did her duty. We just have to keep a really close eye on her.

Kate is still doing well! She had one little accident on the sofa yesterday. I really think that, in addition to the bladder infection, she didn't like the location of her litterbox.

She likes to use the litterbox in her crate - so i think that when we put the crate away we'll have a covered litterbox in that spot. I've noticed that her other one hasn't been used at all, and she's only using this one.

By the way - I'm slowly and reluctantly becoming a cat person. How could I not? She crawls up on my lap and kneads me and purrs, and sleeps on me all the time. She's just the sweetest little thing. I think she's MY cat now.
