I dont know where you heard this but it is totally wrong and any experienced dog owner knows that problems are usually caused by the owner not the dog.

Samowen is right, there is no truth to that at all. I have known lovely Alsatians - we call them German Shepherds in the USA, who got quite old and stayed as smart and friendly and loyal as ever. Any breed can become "dangerous" if mistreated and abused , but that is the fault of the owners, not the breed.

Actually, this is a myth that was perpetuated through the '80's about German Shepherds, the '90's about Rottweilers, and now it is popularly thought that "Pit Bulls" (APBT and AmStaffs) have this "personality trait."

Please don't believe the ignorance of dog-haters and overanxious ignoramus'. There is no dog breed in the world with this trait.

Any dog can be trained to attack, or to be so mistreated as to become dangerous.

Just as ignorance is learned, dogs must be trained or abused to want to attack the hand that feeds it.
