Ok finally here is my other dog!

Last week I posted a pic of my rott; Raustyk so here is my other baby, Nanook. (excuse the mess I took it right before I was about ready to paint)
He is 13 years old, A shep mix. He was found at 4 months of age tied to a telephone pole on the side of a dirt road. I adopted him at 8 months of age from the same shelter as my rott. We think he was a farmers dog & probably got into the chicken coop or something as just a few years ago he was starting to have trouble w/ his hind leg so we got it x-rayed. We found 22 bird shots just in one leg, a couple years later I found one protruding from the skin in his front leg. They fire about 50 @ a time so they are probably all along the one side of his body. Poor guy. Anyways he is oding good for his age & condition. He is the most mellowest dog, He would be the PERFECT dog if only he didn't shed as much LOL but i love hime to no end!
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

He is absolutely gorgeous! What a great looking dog. Your guess about the circumstances of his being tied up are probably right, if horrible. I saw a beautiful Irish Setter in the kennel once that had a sign hung around it's neck that said "Chicken Killer". That poor old thing looked so sad and humiliated I wanted to cry. Nanook looks very satisfied and happy to be with you. I missed the pix of your Rottie but will try to find it in a while. Again, Nanook is beautiful

He is beautiful! I'm glad he found someone deserving of his love. People can be so heartless.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

What a shame that he lived that way, but he sure looks to be enjoying life now!!!
