    The Healing Powers Of Animals...

...Can be seen here. As a few of you know, my grandmother is dying of cancer. She lives along far away from us, and we try and visit as often as possible. You should see the joy light up on her face when she sees my precious Chloe come through the door...

These were taken at my birthday party:
(In this one, you can really tell how sick she is )

    Awwww! That's so adorable!

I'm glad Chloe is able to give her a few smiles! Aren't animals great?

Oh Chloe those are such sweet pictures! I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma.

Mark's Mom has cancer, too, and we just try and spend as much quality time with her that we can, and take each day at a time.

Sorry to learn about your grandmother. I sure miss mine. Today is her birthday. I'm glad that Chloe gives such joy to her. Animals are a wonderful thing.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Very sweet pics, Amanda. So good that she has Chloe to visit and love on. I know after my surgery, Chester was like medicine to me. He was just what I need for comfort.

Beautiful pictures--your grandmother looks very happy to have Chloe there!!

I'm sorry that your grandmother is sick, remember to cherish every moment with her--it sounds like she has a great family, especially to bring Chloe over to brighten her day

Amanda: I've very sorry to hear that your grandmother is so sick. My grandmother passed away in 1997 and I had the privilege to be with her at that time and say my last good-bye.

Its very true about the healing power of animals and I can see in your grandmother's face the joy that Chloe brings. Bless you Amanda!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma.

It really is amazing how much comfort the animals can be. We do therapy visits with Cincy at nursing homes and hosptials. The patients are so grateful to see the dogs even for the few minutes that we get to spend with them. Many tell stories of the dogs they used to have, or of their children's dogs. Many of them are so excited when the dogs shake their hand, or give them a kiss. It is really amzing to watch.
