I realized that I have never shared any pics of my cottage! I went there this weekend to help build a deck. Also I was finally able to take some pics of my mom's and stepdad's place (they are retired and live a couple of minutes down the road from the family cottage).

They bought this house 7 years ago and it was a total mess. The bush was overgrown, dead trees, no lawn etc. I think they have done an amazing job & it helps that my stepdad is a carpenter and my mom is a gardening freak and birdhouse maker!!
