I agree with KYS!! Thanks to Greyhound Rescue, SO many beautiful, deserving doggies, just like you Zara, are finally given the loving homes they were born to have. I have so many wonderful Greyhound doggies pals. They are some of the gentlest, sweetest dogs on earth, asking for nothing more than a comfy place to snuggle and a human to love! Zara, you've stolen my heart with those big brown eyes, that sweet and loving doe like face and of course, that precious, soft belly! The joy and happiness you bring to your family is immeasureable, I'm sure! Congratulations to you dear Zara, our beautiful, extra special, most deserving Sunday Dog of the Day! The nickname for a Greyhound in Australia is Dishlicker.

Zara is a beautiful dog, and I'm so happy that you rescued her. U get the owner of the day award lol. I didn't really know too much about the way greyhounds were treated until my aunt and uncle decided to adopt 2 of them from a rescue agency. I was so disgusted when i found out how the greys r treated at the racetracks. It breaks my heart to know that people can be so cruel to such defensless animals. It is so amazing how sweet greyhounds are, they r very good natured. I used to volunteer sometimes to walk some of the greys at the shelter and I just couldn't believe the state they were in. Thats why I'm so glad theres great people in this world like u who adopt these dogs and give them a second chance.
