Rest In Peace Sweet Pea

Yesterday, my rat Sweet Pea's pain was ended.

She was in bad shape for about two weeks. In the beginning she stil ate and drank and ran around, but suddenly would start gasping for air. As the days went on, she got worse, she lost tons of weight, was ice cold from bad circulation and was constantly battling to breathe. She could only eat liquid foods, and could barely bring her head up to drink from the water bottle. Shortly before she died she would jump and squeal she would start to run, but would fall over.

We knew it was time for her to join her mother Nugget (who died on Tuesday), Oreo, Skittles, and Punkin- she was put to sleep. Sweet Pea was buried next to her mother in our garden. She will be greatly missed and greatly loved.

I am happy to know she is no longer in pain and is in the company of those who love her.

I love you baby, I will join you when my time comes.

Aww I'm sorry for your loss. *hugs* At least she is no longer in pain, and is being looked after by her mommy and friends.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Sweet Pea. You now know she isn't in pain any longer, and is running and squealing at the RB with her mom, Nugget.

I didn't know Nugget had passed away but I went back and found that it happened when I was gone on vacation. I'm so sorry about the loss of Nugget and Sweet Pea. May the RIP.

I am really sorry about Sweet Pea.
About 4 or 5 months ago i lost my hamster Spike. Everyone thought i was being a baby cause i was so sad about such a "little" thing.
But when it comes down to it, a life is a life, and I know that Sweet Pea had a good one.
I am really sorry for your loss.
