    frantic sniffing

My gurls and I were taking out daily walk when we came upon this one area of grass. Both of them starting to sniff frantically. I know we've come upon bunny poo and they love to eat it ( ) and they sniff crazy then. But I don't understand what they are smelling??? Is it a scent from another animal?? Just wondering. Thanks!!

Dogs sense of smell is so much better than ours-you may never know!!
My dogs do it all the time--the best is when they "air sniff" around the kitchen counters!!!

My dad's dog can smell the gophers underground. He gets all frantic when he smells them.

lol, Mickey does that all the time. Once we were in the basement and he smelled something from the top floor. He went up two flights of stairs, just smelling the air.

My friends' dog has this thing where he HAS to smell at every tree and he stays there for a good minute or so. It's a dog thing, I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you dog doesn't get any more of that bunny poop!

It was likely some critter they had NEVER smelled before, and hence the excitement. I remember the first time Henry smelled the deer that sometimes show up near our place -- he was beside himself!
