Sleeping with a kitty can cause allergies ???

I heard that sleeping every night with a cat can cause allergies.

I don't wanna be allergic to my kitty But I would like him to sleep with me

I guess I would need proof before I believed that. I have been sleeping with cats for years (I'm 37) and still not allergic to them!

Allergies are usually something you would have before you let the cat sleep in your bed. I am actually very allergic (headaches, sneezing, watery eyes, etc.) to my cats, but I vacuum constantly and brush the kitties on a regular basis. My husband was allergic to cats before we got Jack and Ali...he now is not. I think it was just because he wasn't around cats a whole lot before, he does fine around them now. I don't think that a cat sleeping w/ you would cause you to have allergies...I could be wrong though.

Sleeping with kitties should not CAUSE allergies, but it might make allergies you already have, worse.

Sleeping without a kitty gives you heavy withdrawal symptoms

    What ?!?

There is an option of not sleeping with your cats ?

My cats say this is a naughty lie.

Payitforward, Calvin and Hobbes are equally appalled by this naughty lie!! I thankfully don't have allergies (yet) and sleep w/my face burried in black fur but even I have to give it a rest now and again especially when it's shedding season. Face full of fur will make anyone gasp now and again!!!
