    Taking Max camping

I'm taking Max camping this weekend. Any suggestions, we have a 3 hour ride to get up there, Northern Pa. I have a huge tent, bring his crate, tie downs, a few toys, food, water, boat, we have a pond, ...
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I can't wait!!!

I haven't gone camping with my dogs yet - too darn hot here all the time. I would think it'd be a good idea to inspect Max for any weird ticks or other bugs when you get home.

If he's not used to long car rides, I'd have him ride on an empty tummy.

And keep a close eye on him while you're there, I'm sure you already know that one!

    Re: Taking Max camping

    Have a wonderful time camping.
Looks like you are set up on what
    to bring for Max.
Might want to bring along some first aid stuff for Max just in case,
bug repellent, a towel, and an extra collar.
(I have not had to show it for awhile, but proof of
licence and rabies just in case.)
Have a wonderful time and take pics.

    sounds like everything is covered!!!
Whenever we all travel, I bring food, treats, poop bags, leashes, toys, and a first aid kit. I also make sure that all of their tags are on them, and that all collars and leashes aren't showing any wear and tear.
How is Max in the car?? Abbey gets carsick, and we have to give her something to calm her down before we go.

I hope you have a safe trip--where in Northern PA are you going??

A little North of a town called Troy. It's in Bradford County. My mom has 32 acres, a pond, all kinds of fun stuff. I can't wiat to relax and drink some of America's finest beverage. Yuengling Lager.

An extra leash too, just this past weekend we went camping w/ 2 out of 3 dogs & lost both leashes, what a pain. We were in aa tiny town & we spent 4 hours sat. afternoon going from one tiny store to the next no one had any leashes or rope, finnaly we found a tie down strap in the back of my truck & we used that for the rest of our trip, the fabric it's made of really bothered my hands. I did bring extra collars but forgot to bring extra leashes.
Like others mentioned, food, water, bowls, treats, toys, a bed & some basic medical supplies.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

We just went camping the other day...We didn't call ahead and ask the lake if they accepted dogs!!! We wound up driving for four extra hours from lake to lake trying to find a campground that allowed dogs. We wound up camping on a river. I assumed that all camp places allow dogs. So call ahead and make sure!

Also, if they don't have it already I'd give them frontline or some flea and tick stuff. I don't know about where you are going, but there are tons of ticks in the woods here.
