I have a foster cat that just has a litter of kittens. The babies started to open their eyes at about 7 days. They were fully open at 14 days. It will vary slightly though.

My foster had her last kitten almost half a day after the rest. Another foster cat had her last kitten 36 hours after the rest. They do not see or hear at birth. Their eyes and ears are closed. To be honest I do not know exactly when they start to hear.

Kittens should stay with their mother for at least eight weeks. This allows them to be better socialized and healthy. The mom will start weaning her kittens. Here is a website that provides good links concerning cat/kitten care. This section deals specifically with kittens.

The last kitten I got (Tanner) came from a litter of 6 kittens. Granted this is a large litter, but it is not uncommon. It is possible that your cat could have more kittens in the next little while.

The mother won't get mad if the kittens are old enough and are weaned.

Well, Tubby is definitely a boy cat. Here's a picture of him.

However, if you're looking for a picture of certain...aaaahh...boy parts....I can't help you there. Tubby had his removed long ago.
