comic sans hi my name is rhiannon and i am new to this board, allthough i have been reading post's on here for a long time.

well id better tell you about my furry family, i am owned by 3 dogs and 2 cats , starting with the dogs CLOVER the Rottweiler x red heeler (australian cattle dog) she is a speyed 4 year old, we compete in flyball and obedience and are hoping to start agility next week

then there is PENNY the jack russell x chihuahua, maybe dachond and mini foxi, she is 5 going on 15 , meaning she is not at all active and likes to sit in front of the heater and snooze

and last of the dogs is our newest family member THEODORE the chihuahua, he is 11 months old and is in training for flyball (working on ball skills and socialising with the flyball dogs) and also obedience and agility , he is one hyperactive little dog.

and then there are thee cats a 2 & 1/2 year old tabby, named YUMI (moggie) and a 10+ year old white persian, named ROSE

    well that all for now

bye from rhiannon and the furry family

    Hi there rhiannon!

    Welcome to Pettalk!

I've got a 10 mo old Collie, Oz, that I just started in agility a
few weeks ago. We are having such a blast, that we just started
a second class last night to learn control commands for agility.
Ah not quite as fun. More like obedience. So we may take the
beginner class again, so we can still be doing the fun stuff,
while we're learning the necessary commands.

I've also got 2, 12+ year old Cairn Terriers, Murph and Maddie.
Maddie's my spud dog, so we watch a lot TV together.
And Murph is my lil' explorer dog, so he loves to go walking
    and hiking with me.

Let's see... Last night, which was the first class, we worked
on having the dog run comfortably beside you on your left
and right side. Then the commands "Left" and "Right" to have
your dog come to the appropriate side.

A "Sit Stay" on one side of a jump, then I went to the other
side and called the dog "Over" the jump to me.

A quick "Down", where the dog didn't sit first, just went straight
    to a down.

And lastly approaching and leaving the Table obstacle from
    our "Left" and "Right" sides.

We're suppose to practice all this stuff this week, plus have the
dog do his "Sit Stay" on a target, like a mouse pad. And have him
touch a target with his paws.
