    Worms?

While picking up Kai's morning poop, I noticed two white pieces in his poop. It looks like rice...do you think it's worms?

Sounds like it could be. When we got Spot, he had white things in hispoop, which aret he eggsof a tape worm. One shot and they were gone!I would take a fecal sample and have them do an exam...even if it is nothing it is a cheap test and worth your piece of mind!

I never got Kai de-wormed cuz at the time, I never even knew that pups had worms. But when we got a stool sample done, nothing came up. I'm thinking he got this when he licked my cousin's puppy's bum...cuz she CONSTANTLY drags her bum on the floor.. =s I'll get it checked out asap

    Re: Worms?

kai, if it looks like rice, it might be tape worm.
If it is, one way of dogs getting it, is by swallowing an
    infected flea.

Make sure you bring a sample to the vets, with
    the white stuff too.

I agree with everyone else. Getting it checked out is the best thing you can do--your vet will give Kai a shot or a few pills, and they'll be gone. We have our dogs checked every once in a while, especially Kito, the notorious poop muncher

Every animals is born with pin worms, they are tiny lil white worms that can infest a animals body. getting a dewormign shot should be done no matter what. even if your pet doesnt seem to have them. they dont always come out in the fecies. they can be external. go get a shot asap.

This backyard breeder was selling puppies that had worms so bad they were pukeing them up . good luck

Dogs can get hook, round & whip worms from grass ONLY if an infested dog was in that area, they can also get it by their feet from walking on infested grass or dirt.
Tapeworms are ussually transmitted by ingesting infected fleas, infected rodents & other dogs infected feces. It sounds your dog has tapeworms which is the least health threatning worms as long as the dog has adequate food & water. A sipmle oral liquid, pill or shot will get rid of them.

I'm starting to think that it was a false alarm. I checked Kai's poop today and I saw no white pieces. I think it might have been the sesame seeds that were on the bun I slipped him. I'll get him checked anyways. I'm still concerned about the pin worms thing...cuz he was never de-wormed.
