You're too funny!I think five is our lucky number. Its hard to balance my two love bugs without them getting upset. Basie and Micah fight (not literaly) for my attention. I hate that.
BUT....I'm not opposed to fostering cats when we get a house in the future.

My answer is not included: I waited 2 days before we got Maya! I just cannot live without a cat...

I think the amount of time depends on how you feel your other cats will react. Sometimes you just have to jump right in, get that new cat and wait for your other cats to adapt. They will adapt!
