What breed of dog is considered the most "dangerous"?

What breed of dog do you think is the most reconized as the "most dangerous?"

Also I noticed that even though Great Danes are HUGE they aren't considered "dangerous"? Because all the time I hear someone saying 'that dog is big, it must be dangerous, stay away!' But size doesn't matter!

I do not consider them dangerous but I voted for the Pit Bull. I know that most people who hear Pit Bull, automatically thinks "dangerous"

I know that when my friend said she was getting a Rottie and I mentionned it to my dad he told me he didn't liek the idea of me going over there

I agree with KayAnn, its not the dogs that are dangerous...its the owners that make them that way! Thats why pits have such a bad rep, Ive seen shows on them and they're naturally sweet dogs..thats just one for example..

    keyword : Recognized

Of course, I agree no dog is dangerous..just their owners that make them that way. But she did not ask what kind of dogs are dangerous. Just which are recognized as dangerous dogs. In other words...which have the bad reps? (at least that's what I got out of it )

The only reason there are dogs with bad reps or are recognized as dangerous is because of the specific dog owners whom train their animals to be dangerous, aggressive and unpredictable. Therefor, the only dangerous breed is the Human.

I didn't take it badly at all. I'm just trying to clear up what she was saying(if I understood it right) .

No. lol, okay. It's all cleared up now...

Uh..I think maybe the title of the thread should be changed to "which dog has the worst rep" or something. I feel bad now because I didn't mean to say Pits are dangerous dogs. Just looked upon as such...

I think any breed can be dangerous. It depends on the people that it has grown up in and how it's been trained. If a dog has been trained to be a family dog it won't be dangerous but if a dog has been trained for fighting and if it doesn't obay it's oner then watch out
