    Kito is worrying me

Kito has been acting so strange this morning--half of me is entertained, and half of me is worried about him.
First thing he did when he woke up was jump in bed and curl up with mommy (daddy was in the shower). I could feel him shaking, kind of like how a cat feels when it purrs--he did that for a while, and it started to worry me. He went out on the porch, and was doing it again--I don't know if he was shivering, or what. Then he started running around and panting, but he wouldn't drink any water. He didn't eat his breakfast (which is totally normal for him), but he was fine on our walk--did his business, and then when I went to take Abbey out, he snuck out the door!! I finally got him back upstairs, and he whined and cried while we were gone. Now he is sitting right at my feet--the shaking has stopped, but he's still panting, and he NEVER sits here while I am on the computer--he's too "independent"
I hope nothing is wrong with him--the shakes are starting again--and I have to be to work in an hour.
I don't know what to do.

Well, that doesn't sound very normal. I think I would call the vet, just in case. I am a worry wart & take them to the vets at the drop of a hat. What harm can it do to call?
Sorry I can't be of much help, but hope Kito starts feeling better.

Thanks Anna--I just called the vet--they're going to take him asap, and watch him while I am at work.
I am so scared--I hope it's nothing serious.

Could be absolutely nothing - but it never hurts to be sure. Sounds like you are doing the right thing to have him checked out. Make sure to let us know what they say.

Was a thunderstorm coming by chance? Lolly acts freaky like that whenever its going to start thundering. Maybe it was something like that.

I hope he's doing okay at the vet right now. Please update us as soon as you know. I'll keep you and Kito in my thoughts.

    Kito is OK!!!
Our vet did a thorough exam (and he didn't like the internal part), and it seems his back right leg is bothering him--the way he prances around, he doesn't limp if he gets hurt. When I called they said he probably was hurt, but to check it out. Anyway, it was probably a pulled muscle or something in his leg, and she gave him a shot, and some medicine, and the worst part--no playing or running (yeah, right )--he is a lot better now, and I have to go back to work , but my husband will be home all night!!
    Thanks for the good thoughts!!!

Oh, I'm so glad you're ok Kito!! I'm a worrier too. My husband always thinks I'm "over sensitive" about Chester. But, see. We moms know when something just isn't right. I would have felt the same way.
