    dog fights

I have two dogs a mixed terrier male about 10years old had since was 6 months old ,great dog and my prolbem child a 5 year Queenland healer female. We had her since she was 6mos. She has always been aggressive. The problem is she has always attacks the the other dog. Sometimes we see what causes it like food. But other times nothing. We can all just be sitting watching TV and out of the blue when all is quite she attacks poor Radar.
Help, we love them both but don't know how much us, or Radar can take.

i think that your aggressive dog wants all of the attention and doesnt like the fact that shes got to share it with Radar
i think you should try reintroducing them that might help

    how to introduce them

    1. have you and someone else each hold a dog
    2. then slowly let them meet each other
dont feed them from the same bowl feed them seperate and at different times you also must give them equal attention not more attention to your new dog

Re-introduing them will not help after 4 years. You need to do some serious training with your female. (You didn't tell us her name!). I'll just call her "Girl" for now.

Girl thinks that she is in charge, and so tries to assert herself by bullying Radar. This is wrong. You need to do some serious training with her, apart from him, and let her know that YOU are that alpha dog, not her.

Several people here have written on this in the past.

How old are both dogs? How big? Does one get more attention than the other? Where do they sleep? Are they fed together?

Yes, that's a lot of questions, but we cannot really help until we know answers!

I am assuming this problem has been going on for some time and is not a new situation. My question is what do you do when this occurs? Please be specific in what you do. Do you scold the Girl? Do you coddle the loser? The more info you provide the better.
