    That's the one bad thing about kitties; that they can't live as long as we do. It probably does feel really weird that Alex is not there anymore. He had a good life with a family who dearly loved him, so there is comfort in that. My condolences to you and your family.
    The legend says that Mohammed adored cats. When one of them was sleeping on his sleeve and he had to go out, Mohammed supposedly cut off the sleeve so as not to disturb his pet.

    Tina, the way you told us of Alex, you have lost a family member, and not just a pet . It sounds as though you two grew up together and shared each others secrets. (Sometimes, I wish I had a pet cat when I was that age).
