My gosh, that is a beautiful dog! I've never seen a Dane that color before. Lovely!
I know what you mean about Spot and Shadow .... I own a grooming shop and boarding kennel and I get SO sick and tired of the same old names, year after year. Most of my dogs have common names, because they were already named when I rescued them.
I like mythological names, so:
Achilles (whose only weakness was his heel)
Adonis (handsome)
Apollo
Aquilo
Arachne
Ares (God of the war)
Argo
Baldur (Norse god of light and joy)
Bast
Centaur
Cerebus (Three headed dog that guards the gates of hell.)
Galahad
Loki (Norse god of mischief, trickery, and thieves (nemesis of Thor))
Nike (messenger of the Gods, with wings on his feet)
Niobe
Odin (The central Viking God, big and powerful)
Raiden (god of lighting)
Thor (God of Thunder)
Zeus
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam
"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
