Beautiful Biguy!
Dearest Biguy, you are gorgeous! What a beautiful big Tuxie guy you are, with that soft-looking fur that's more black than white and that sweet face with the white patch and those long, LOOONG white whiskers and lovely big green eyes. You look so wise and peaceful sitting there and looking out at me. I wish I could reach through the screen and down over to Alvin, TX to pet you, and pet your two dear kitty housemates and Maggie the doggie housemate, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Meowmie will pet you all for me .
And what a story you have to tell! You were a neighborhood stray for a couple of years. Your dear Meowmie-to-be fed raccoons at night, and you'd come and eat with them. At first you hissed when she came near you. Then you started to grab at her as she was about to go in the door. She was afraid but finally realized you wanted to come in. You had abscessed ears from fighting to stay alive, and you wanted to come inside to safety. Your Purrrents-to-be didn't let you in because they had a very small dog they were afraid you might hurt. Then, after their dear little dog passed away, Meowmie got you and took you to the vet, and then brought you Home! Since then, you've never been out of the house, except to travel with your Purrrents and the other kitties and Maggie in their motor home. Meowmie says you're like a human or better! You're very smart, and you play catch the ball with dear Dad. You're so loving and sweet, and your Purrrents saw you protect a mother cat and her babies for weeks before Meowmie brought you inside. You're the sweetest cat she has ever known, and she's amazed she was so afraid of you! You and your Purrrents and kitties and Maggie all love each other very much, don't you. They're so very thankful you're part of the family. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Biguy, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrents and kitties and Maggie are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
