We are saying our prayers and sending our loving good wishes and warm energies that either something terrific suddenly opens up or else Olive does just fine waiting to have the appointment in October.

Today Olive and I went to the cardiologist for her echocardiogram.
It went great, and what's even better is that there was only a slight progression of her cardiomyopathy. She will stay on her current dose of Atenolol.
The cardiologist doesn't think that Olive will have any problems in the near future.
The heart murmur could be related to her thyroid, so we will check it sometime soon.
It was quite a drive to get there, a 160-mile roundtrip. When we got back, Olive went almost immediately to sleep, and she's still snoozing.
She deserves it, and I'm happy that she will be with me in the foreseeable future.

I'm glad to hear the good news, Heidi - it was worth the trip. Hope Olive is rested now and being spoiled with kisses. Give her some from me, too.
