    Dutchess has a new playmate..

Good morning everyone...well this past saturday we went kitty shopping. We didn't really want to get a kitty from the animal shelter because they always end up with that nasty cold for about two weeks and we did not want Dutchess to catch it. So we went around to the local vets. We found a very cute female domestic shorthaired kitty. She is mostly black and has a little bit of white in her. She will be four months old on my bday 1-4-03. I took some very cute pics of her over the weekend and will try to upload them so yall can see her. Her name is Amelia.
Dutchess and Amelia met each other and so far they have just hissed at each other but we are keeping them in separate rooms when we aren't there.

I love the name Amelia. And if she is black and white then I am sure that she is beautiful. Now while it is true that cats from a shelter will more likely than not have a cold, please do not let that dampen your efforts to rescue one from the shelter. New cats should be kept seperate from your existing cats for at least a week any way so they have time to adjust to their environment before having to deal with another animal. So the existing cat would not catch the cold if they were separated. And a little quarrentine on your part is so much better than the innevitable fate of too many unwanted animals.

    Amelia..

Well, I took some great pics of her this past weekend. Now all I have to do is get my lazy husband to upload them to a cd so that I can show them to you all. She is sooo adorable. She wants LOTS of attention too. She and Dutchess are still not getting along but usually it takes us about 2 weeks with Dutchess.

    waiting anxiously for those pictures!!

Keep in mind that it may take Dutchess 2 weeks, but Amelia may take longer (or shorter, as the case may be).
