Congratulations on being Dog of the Day.
So true, once you have a dog, you can't go back.
It does change your life for the better.
It was so wonderful seeing all of your great pictures.
Couldn't decided which I loved the best, but I chose this one.
You look so relaxed and happy.
    Celebrate your world famous day.

Dearest Rocco, what a beautiful blue roan Cocker Spaniel you are! You're very heart-melting indeed! Your colorful fur is so sleek and pretty and soft-looking, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big brown eyes. Thank you for sharing all these great photos with us! They are terrific, showing you in so many different poses and settings and moods. Your young friend's new camera was certainly a worthwhile investment! He/she is an excellent photographer. In that last picture of the puppy and the brown dog, is that you and your mother back when she was with your family?

What an amazing tale of rescue and adoption and love you have to tell! And what a wonderful person your dear young friend's mother is, finding you and your mom out loose on a rainy day and bringing you both home! Then she and the family gave you the care and love you needed and deserved, even though they'd never had a dog before. I'm so sorry to learn that your doggie-mom eventually had to go back to her previous "owners," who sure didn't know how to care for a dog properly. (I'm so glad they didn't know about you, so you didn't have to go too!) You grew up with your new family, and you and your young friend have grown up together. You and they all love each other dearly, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

And what wise words your dear friend has to say, about how owning a dog changes your life, helping you grow up civilly and humanly. And a dog is the mirror of its owner, not just a possession or a pastime. God bless these good people, your dear friend and family! My deepest thanks to them for their wisdom and love and great care for you.

Congratulations, darling Rocco, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Beautiful Rocco!

Hi Rocco in Italy! Happy Dog of the Day!

So happy to meet you, sweetheart! And oh yes, tell your human I sure did enjoy reading her heartfelt, love filled tribute to her beautiful, cute as can be, Cocker fur brother! And no apologies as to the length. When one is as special a pup as you there simply aren't words enough, not to mention you and your human sure have a very special rescue/homecoming story to tell!

How lucky you and your fur mom (?) were, having been found by your "family to be" that fateful, rainy day 6 wonderful years ago! Of course it's bittersweet, your fur mom having been returned to her original owners. I'm sure that was hard for all of you. But thankfully you remained, helping to heal their hearts, and the rest is happy history!

Just as your human says, our pups play such an impactful, important and positive role in our lives; as teachers, as best friends, as loyal and loving companions! And needless to say in all of those categories and then some you fit the bill; that in you, your family has been blessed with the best!

In the end, let me finish this long story with some of my thoughts I'd like to share. Once you own a dog, you won't turn back. It changes your life. It helps you grow up, civilly and humanly. You start seeing things in a different perspective, you see people differently.
Your human may have been clueless as to the responsibilities that come with pup parenting before you (some not so fun...like poop pick up), the priceless rewards rescue brings to one's life. But I think it's safe to say there's no going back now! How blessed she and your entire family are, having a beautiful, cute as can be, best furry family member in you, Rocco! You truly are a treasure, and while you may not have been a planned addition to the family, there's not a doubt in my mind that you and they were destined to be as one!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, sweetheart! Meeting you today, reading your heartwarming backstory and seeing all of your gorgeous photos has been a joy! I hope you're in the midst of a very special day of celebration. sweetheart...posing for pics, enjoying a nice, long walk in the sunshine, doing your best "froggy" and cuddling with your humans, being loved and pampered to pieces! Lots of love, hugs and smooches to you, beautiful Rocco, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!

    Such beautiful photos!!!

    Thank you all!

Thank you everyone for your kind words! Sorry for my bad english, i tried my best I took advantage of this situation to practise with my english, i have an upcoming Cambridge B2 First Exam!

In that last picture of the puppy and the brown dog, is that you and your mother back when she was with your family?
Yes. In the beginning his fur was the opposite, mostly white. His mom was indeed a cocker spaniel as well.

I'm so glad Rocco got into my life in the midst of my adolescence! By the way i'm a guy!

If you'd like to stay in touch with Rocco, i'll upload more pics (only the good-looking one of course!) in the future on my DeviantArt page.

Right now i'm not in Latina, i'm temporarily working in Positano, which means i can just see him through video calls on WhatsApp with my mom

Regarding my relationship with Rocco, i think a picture is worth a thousands words:
