    Enough already!

For almost 2 weeks now, we had relentless rain. We still are under a flood watch, and many areas were flooded.
So far, we had about 10 inches of rain, a record for this area and this time of year.
It's supposed to improve some over the weekend, but by the end of next week, the rain is coming back.

Wow! That's a LOT of water! Here's hoping there isn't flooding.

A river going up your driveway - ugh, that's no fun! We had flooding in June 2011 here, the water reached seven steps up from the cellar, so I lost a lot of things.

Now, it's getting worse everywhere, it's either flooding or draught and wildfires. Several people in Spain has died from heatstroke. Here, we've had about 26 - 30C since May - nonstop! Hardly any rain. I have not been able to get the temperature in my bedroom down under 27C lately, it's just unbearable! Well, they predict rain and thunderstorms tonight and 24C tomorrow. I can't wait!!

I hope we all get normal weather soon!

Randi, I hope you got the much needed rain.
Luckily, we didn't have any damage, just a little water in the basement.
And the sun is out right now, hooray!

Here's hoping for more moderate weather for all.. milder temperatures and less danger of flooding, and rainfall where it's needed!

It's good to know the sun is out now. Be careful next time, I have some bad experience dealing with the flood situation, kind of trauma when I think about it, I cannot save my cat, the water flow is strong and my cat cannot swim very well and he floats to somewhere else and does not come back.

We visited my boyfriend's dad yesterday.
Unfortunately, he had some damage to his shed by a fallen tree limb during the rain.
Luckily nobody got hurt, including his kitty Blue Eyes (COTD 9/22/2017). No matter how much I plead not to let her out, she "must" go outside. The funny part is that she comes inside to use the litter box!
