Greetings Comet in beautiful Groton, CT! Happy Dog of the Day to you, sweet baby boy!

What a handsome, happy, sweet and loving boy you are, Comet! I smiled from ear to ear, reading your proud human's love filled tribute, poring over your heart-melting photos! Love that ear action, hehe, and how precious is that shot of you napping!

You sure did have a sad start at life, Comet, but oh my gosh, how far you've come since finding your way home! Thanks to your devoted and loving furever family you're now the happiest, healthiest, most loving pup on the block, in the neighborhood, maybe in the entire world! To say you've landed in the laps of the most loving pack of humans (literally, their laps) would be an understatement! You've only been with your family but a short time, but already the bond of love and trust you and they share runs deep! We re so thankful to your humans for choosing rescue, giving one most deserving pup a 2nd chance at a happy life! And just as your human says, as is the case with all of our rescues, every day you let them know just how grateful you are, bringing so much comfort and joy, love and laughter to their lives! How blessed they are, having a furkid, a full fledged family member, a sweet and loving companion in you! And I have no doubt you are going to shine in your future role as a therapy dog, Comet, bringing endless smiles and comfort to those in need!

Since adopting Comet on February first after fostering him for two months he has been nothing but pure joy. Comet is a complete cuddle bug who will maul you with kisses. He loves to be on your lap or in between us while we sleep all sprawled out. There is nothing better than coming home to him and seeing him so excited to greet us. You can see on his face and through his behavior how appreciative and grateful he is now that he has a loving caring home.

Thanks for the BIG smiles, sweetheart! I hope you enjoy a very special day of celebration..taking a walk on the beach, maybe meeting up with your pup pals at the bark park; mauling your humans with kisses and warming their laps; being loved and pampered to pieces! Lots of love, big hugs and slobbery smooches to you, beautiful Comet, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!
