Dearest Caesar, a.k.a. Sneezer, Cheeser, The Cheese, Cheeseball, Cheeseburger, Chi-Chi or Mr. Particular, what a sweet, good-looking guy you are! Your brown Tabby (with a white moustache and chin) fur is so pretty and looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have with the cute brick-color nose and the lovely big green eyes. Thank you for posting all those great photos! You are adorable in them all, and that last one of you as a kitten is beyond precious. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Huntington Beach, CA to pet you! I can't, of course, But I know your loving and beloved Meowmie will pet you for me .
And what a heart-warming story you have to tell! Your Meowmie visited the pound out of curiosity one day, wound up bringing you home even though she'd never had a cat before and you clearly had many health issues. She knew right away you belonged together. Thanks to some vet visits and loads of loving care at home, you made it all right and grew into a beautiful, strong beast with a teeny meow, the best cat ever. You've never known the cruelness out in the world, only love. You can be shy with strangers but you warm up to them if they give you love and treats.
It is now fourteen years later, and you're a little more lazy and skinny but still the prince, still a good boy, still loving to play and still knowing nothing of cruelty, only love. The best part of Meowmie's day is arriving home from work to hear your teeny meows on the other side of the door and then sharing hugs and kisses. You and she love each other dearly, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Caesar, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Meowmie and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
