Hemingway’s Six-Toed Cats Ride Out Hurricane Irma in Key West

A bit of good news with regard to Irma!...
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/11/u...cats-irma.html

I had wondered how those cats would be making out and had feared they were goners..

(I also just posted this in the Other/General section, but I'm posting it here too, in case anyone here won't see it there. )
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I'm glad that the kitties and their care takers made it through Irma.

Thank you for sharing this story. I had been searching for news of these Hemingway cats, but couldn't find anything.I'm really not
surprised that the cats showed no reluctance to take refuge inside the house. They are very smart creatures.

Our Humane Society has currently a litter of three polydactyl kittens. They are precious!
Whenever my cats misbehave I threaten that I would just drop them off there and get some new kitties.
Of course, they don't believe me, and they continue to aggrevate me.
