Well, I don't really care about college b-ball, but I'll have a been and laugh at Dickie V sounding like a fool.

    Reubens on the grille!

While Y'all watch college b-ball, I'm going to put Senna, Rush, Gran Prix, and LeMans on the other screen on a constant loop.

I'm not much for basket ball, but after a 5 km run in the freezing fog I've got oatmeal and blueberries on for breakfast - anyone?

My bracket was blown in the first round when Valparaiso lost to Maryland. Oh, well. I'm drinking tea because it's cold outside and there is snow in the weather forecast for tomorrow. Would anyone like some with me?

Sure a hot cup of tea would be perfect, as it is still chilly here - currently 21°F! I don't partake in March Madness, but my friend's heart was broken by Ohio State's first round loss, when they were a top seed!

One would think the fate of the nation was in the balance spending on the March Madness basketball games .... is everyone else really into this, or is it just the media's latest fixation?

Just brewed more tea, anyone want some? And toast with peach jam?

The fixation is all about civic pride, where you went to school, grew up and it's a deflection of everyday bad news.

For a few days, 'your team' is on the tube and if they win, you have bragging rights. People dress in team colors, wear that old ragged school T-shirt and get to hang out, drink beer and watch some kids do stuff that a few of us can't?

Here in the area - you are Blue or Red. You are a Kentucky or Louisville fan. Growing up in El Lay - a huge sports city - I thought we were rabid about our sports teams?

This town makes 'big city folk' look like a bunch of idiots.

During baseball season, you may see a Dodger hat or two in a week?

Football season here in town is something to behold. You can go into the store and see at LEAST 15 people in one color or another -hats, shirts, tees - if it's red or blue - it has a school logo on it.

It's just a little distraction from the stuff that is life!!!

Would the sweet 16 please LEAVE Syracuse?

The roads are bad enough without the additional traffic.

LH, this makes me think of the summer weekend in Chicago every year when the Lollapalooza festival is held in Grant Park. Traffic in the city gets really messy that weekend. The news channels always remind people to take trains or buses instead of trying to drive.

I'd rather deal with a sporting event traffic jam as opposed to a politician caused TJ......Whenever the pinheads come to El Lay, that part of the planet stops....
