    Sweet Stein

What a handsome boy you are! We are so glad your human and vets figured out that you have Addison's disease, and then gave you the medicine so that now you are feeling much better! Hopefully other people who read your story will remember that if they have a dog who is getting sick, so they can ask their vet about it. We are glad you are such a happy, playful dog, but do try to remember that your humans DO need sleep, so save the toys for when they are awake, okay? We are glad your people nominated you, as you are a much loved boy! Congratulations, Stein - you are Dog of the Day for the whole world to celebrate!

    Brave, beautiful Stein!

Hi Stein! Happy Dog of the Day!

What a beautiful Husky x Shep you are, Stein, simply stunning! What a pleasure it is, meeting you today! I was so touched by your story, on a host of levels! My beloved Rainbow Bridge girl, Cody, was a rescued Husky x Shep, my brother's name is Stein, and my current pup, Peach (Lab x Golden), is a rescue with Addison's disease who like you, was diagnosed at age 4! So, for a host of reasons, I could so relate to you, your heartwarming story, your health challenges, your human's fears, not to mention the joy your bring to your family's life, and the love your family hold in their hearts for you!

Like your mom, I was a bit nervous when I learned my prospective rescue had Addison's. I had only recently lost my near 16 year old Lab to Cushing's (sort of the opposite endocrine disease of Addison's), and was so fearful of losing Peach before her time. But my vet reassured me, that unlike Cushing's, Addison's responds very well to treatment/medication, and there was no reason I couldn't expect Peach to live a long, full life!

I'm SO happy to hear that like my Peach, you're doing so well, Stein, responding so well to your treatment! You bring so much love, laughter and comfort to your parent's lives, and I know they want you around for a long, long time! How blessed they are, having a brave, beautiful, gentle hearted furkid in you, Stein! You're a treasure, and I hope for you many, many more happy, healthy, fun filled years with your devoted family!

Enjoy your much deserved day of honor, sweetheart, meeting up with your pals at the dog park, playing with your fave toys, being treated to all your BIG heart desires and more by your proud parents! Lots of love, hugs and kisses to you, beautiful Stein, Dog of the Day, EVERY day!

Oh beautiful, white Stein! I am glad your doctor and people are taking care of you so well! I smiled when I read how you like to meet everyone at the doggie park, or making sure your people have just the right amount of white fur on them for the day . You bring your toys over to your people so they will be ready to play first thing in the morning! You are so handsome and smart! Happy, happy Dog of the Day!
