Introducing a really good band you may have missed otherwise ;-)

You may have noticed that I have more or less stopped taking pictures throughout the year, but what I did was doing a little band photography and videography, which was fun. A guy from my hometown, Stefan, is the drummer of the British prog band Gandalf's Fist (the other three members live in the UK while he's in Germany), and they released a new album this year, A Forest of Fey. Anyway, earlier this year, Stefan asked me to take a few shots of him (one is in the cd booklet now) and to film his parts for a video for one of their songs. Since I was, sort of, involved a little - and because they are really good - I'm wishing them all the best and would like to introduce them to you.

You can listen to their songs here: gandalfsfist.bandcamp.com/album/a-forest-of-fey, hope you'll enjoy.
And if you like what you hear, you can also vote for the band and their album here: Prog Readers' Poll 2014
(in the categories "best band" and "best album")

Would be awesome if you could take some time to listen, and maybe to vote. Thanks.

And here's another great song from that album, and some of the pictures you can see in that video are from a photo shoot we did this summer: Gardens of the Lost

Excellent! Really nice music and videos.

They're great, Kirsten. Well done, all!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Thanks for listening!

I should add that - as far as I know - the bandcamp page I linked to will be closed down at the beginning of the new year due to some new VAT laws inside the EU. Many bands do so, unfortunately.

Karen, this article describes it even better, sounds really bad.

That described it better, how ridiculous! I hope someone gets that changed and soon! One can only imagine this would make tax enforcement about a billion times more complex, and senseless!

Yes, and for that, many small online businesses will now close. So sad!
