Morbid Facts About The Only Thing That Is Certain In Life: Death.

Although the cartoons add humour, I know there are some PTrs who have lost someone recently. Therefore, this is in the Dog House.

Benjamin Franklin (or maybe Christopher Bullock) said it best when he said, "Nothing is certain but death and taxes." If governments collapse, you can forget about the whole taxes thing, but death will always haunt you. It is the one thing we are all born to do, and we will do it by a variety of methods. Instead of running from our fears, let us seriously explore the concept of death.

1.) Left-handers die approximately 3 years earlier than right-handed people.

The cartoon for #15 - either I don't get it, or it's unbelievably cruel.

Death is an inevitability that we all must face someday... unless someone invents some kind of invincibility serum. But who would want that? Living forever sounds pretty boring.

IMO - they are all pretty stupid. 14 & 17 got half a grin (or was it a smirk?) from me.

Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.

I actually enjoy the trope where the personification of Death is replaced by a mortal for a time; been done in many contexts.

I have the exact quote at work so can't attribute it to the person and can't give it in exact wording, but a man asked for his last words before execution said something like this: "Be you a king or a street sweeper, everyone dances with the Grim Reaper". How true.
